Made from the following recipe only:

  • 1lb flour
  • 1 level tsp salt
  • 1 level tsp bread soda
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4oz raisins/sultanas
  • 1/2 to 3/4 pt buttermilk
  • Bake 30-40 mins at gas 7 / 425F / 220C
